First day back at college.

Started back at college on Wednesday, a few weeks before i put my £150+ Billingham camera bag in the washing machine and accidentally put the spin dry on, completely fucked all the leather and ruined it. So I picked up this AA gym bag to carry all my college stuff about, looks like I’m about to make a heist or something.
Cant wait to start getting back into photography and more importantly OPUS DEI, I’ve had so much trouble with screen printers lately its put a massive hold on everything, hence the lack of news BUT we have a reprint of tees coming up soon and more tie dye! Not to mention the winter line ;)

danse macabre clothing: Interview with Opus Dei Clothing!
Interview with Opus Dei Clothing!
We recently had an interview with Plymouth’s finest Opus Dei Clothing. We asked their head honcho Tom 5 questions, here they are…
How and when did Opus Dei begin?
Opus Dei began May 2010, I was sat in a grotty hostel in Prague with no money and a shedload of cheap beer and a bottle of absinthe, I was completely landlocked thanks to that fucking icelandic volcano. The mixture of booze, draw and barvarian history made me brainstorm some ideas that have been in my head a while.
Is there some kind of meaning behind your designs?
The inverted cross is our logo but Opus Dei is by no means an atheism driven line, I wanted to create a bit of a counter culture and turn some heads with connotations of the dark and macabre.
What are your plans for Opus Dei?
Sounds cliche but I want to see where it takes me and just have fun, I don’t really plan to spend any of the money made, just plant it back in and see if anything grows.
What inspires the DIY aspect of your label?
The DIY aspect in my eyes is something that I didnt have to really think about, I just had ideas and I carried them out as best I could haha.
Where does the name Opus Dei originate from?
Opus Dei roughly translated is work of god in Latin, all the shirts are going to be pretty dark and evil. It’s a bit tongue in cheek but it reflects my intrests in religion, folklore and storytelling and history
